It's been a few years since we stocked the Wines from Jackson Estate so I was keen to see how this was tasting.
Made from fruit sourced from 7 individual vineyard sites in the Renwick, Wairau,
Omaka and Awatere sub regions of Marlborough.20 parcels of fruit were harvested over a 2 ½ week period (March 15th – April 4th) in cool early morning conditions from the 7 vineyard sites.
It's pale in the glass and smells and tastes as elegant as it looks. Fresh, green aromas are mostly herbal rather than tropical and the palate is zingy and tightly wound with citrus fruit and a graphite/mineral edge.
Very tasty for those that like them more restrained and probably very tasty with the 'Green Lip' Mussels that it's named after
