The new release. 2008 marks Fritz's conversion to biodynamic winemaking. This like most o the 2008's is reflected in the wines and the vintage. This is a really dry Riesling. Lime, apple and hints of peach on the nose. It's really bracing, crisp, dry and tangy on the palate. After the initial hit, the wine settles down and beneath the incredibly fresh entry the wine shows lots of tangy lime and white peach. It's young and unevolved and will only get better as the wine takes on weight, however as a crisp, dry, fresh minerally Riesling it's enjoyable now.
