Gayda Vin de Pays d'Oc Rosé
, 2008
France Provence & Regional Rose
Vin de Pays d'Oc 75cl
Domaine Gayda have rebadged and repackaged their wines. Now branded simply as Gayda, and this is the Gayda Rosé. Strangely no varieties are mentioned on the label. Going to their website it's 65% Syrah 35% Grenache. Saignee method with the Syrah spending 6 hours on skins and the Cinsault 24 hours. It has a lovely, fairly pale pink colour. Fermented at a cool temperature and is a fairly crisp fresh style. Bright cherry with strawberry and raspberry fruit too. It's a lovely juicy fresh style, crisp with good acidity. Cherry fruits to the fore, very much a white wine feel to the wine with delicate red wine flavours.
