Showing some age colour wise. This is a funky Pinot that when first opened and chilled down slightly exhibited real varietal fruit. After a couple of hours it still shows high toned Pinot Noir characteristics, funky, with meat, and vegetal/farmyard notes. Roasted meats and oak too. It's high toned on the palate too, cherry, stewed plum, nervous acidity, meat and oak. It's quite juicy but tastes a little older than 4 years. Lots of good things going on here, a really interesting Pinot that really needs some food-especially lamb. Good.
