This is Rollin Sole's private label, he is the winemaker and owner of Argyle in Oregon. It's a very attractive albeit quite oaky Pinot. Coming from his own Wits End vineyard. Ripe cherry, raspbery, plum, meat, spice and oak on inviting nose. It's a full rich Pinot with bags of sweet plum, cherry and raspberry fruit. Good acidity, spice and plenty of toasty oak on a long, gently creamy finish. It's a voluptuous ripe style that i really like, maybe too oaky in it's youth for some, but behind that is pristine fruit. Lovely now and will improve over the next 5 years.
