Tinta Del Pais is one of the miriad of names for good old Tempranillo.
This is tasty and really quite flashy wine and presumably made that way deliberately for the UK and US market. It's black and purple in colour and smells of black cherries and violets. The palate is pretty weighty and is less plummy and prune like with sweeter more dense red and black fruits than many tempranillo based wine with just a lick of oak on the finish too. If £10 ish this would make a good more lavish style of Tempranillo to try
