Hailing from the foothills of Monte Conero half way down the Adriatic coast this 100% Montepulciano was really quite tasty and all the more impressive that this was consumed over three days and kept getting better.
Reasonably dark in colour for an Italian wine the nose showed off typical cherry/berry fruit but also had more complex soft leather aromas. Soft and pulsh on the palate the typical Italian acidity/grip became more harmonius over a period of being open or was complemented with food very quickly and showed off more sour cherry fruits and a gentling/marrying of fruits and tannin.
£10 would be nice but sub £13 would still make this a very attractive buy
