Sokol Blosser 'Dundee Hills'

This is the regular Pinot from the excellent Sokol Blosser. Sustainably farmed grapes from many vineyards are used. The long term aim is to use just estate farmed biodynamic vineyards. I tasted this back in March at the winery and was most impressed. Ripe nose with raspberry, black cherry, spice and oak. Aged 16 months in French oak. Has a lovely rich texture. It's creamy and velvety with lots of spice, iron, meat and rich red and black fruits. Spicy and dense with sweeet fruit and creamy oak. It's no shrinking violet, but is also really quite delicious. Drink now and over the next 5 years.
