Pewsey Vale 'Prima'
Riesling, 2007
Australia White
Eden Valley 75cl
A very interesting Riesling from Pewsey Vale. Bottled with the glass stopper- Vinolok. It's made in a Mosel Kabinett style. 9.5% alcohol c25 grammes per litre residual sugar. It works! Lime and apricot on the nose with the merest hint of kerosene/petrol. Off-dry and showing some petrolly notes on the palate really fresh citrus acidity. Ripe red and green apple some hints of white peach and lots of citrus. Even a touch of mineral on the finish. Great aperitif style and sure to age well. Good to see some diversity in the style of Riesling being produced in Australia.
