Dao Sul 'Cabriz' Dao Colheita Selecionada Branco
This is a wine we discovered on holiday and drank several bottles. However there is always will it be as good back home fear. It is however delicious, maybe not catching that moment in a harbour on a sunny afternoon eating fabulous fresh Golden Bream, but still good on a rainy Sunday evening!!
2007 was a good vintage. Made from Malvasia-Fina, Encruzado, Cerceal and Bical all vinified seperately. 'Colheita Seleccionada ' means harvest selection. They feel it will age very well, i would opt for drinking it over the next 18 months...
Attractive floral, slightly perfumed nose with stone fruits, blossom and citrus. It's dry and crisp on the palate but also with a lovely lifted perfumed feel. it has good weight of stone fruits, a floral note and honeyed citrus. It's tangy and fresh and really very appealing. A perfect wine to quaff on a Summers day or a miserable Sunday night.....
