Peregrine
Pinot Noir, 2005
New Zealand Red
Central Otago 75cl
We are coming to the end of the delicious 2004, which has proved very popular. The new 2005 is a little more elegant, but still very good indeed. Aged in French oak for 10 months. Bright black and red cherry on the nose with both cranberry and plum, spice and oak on an appealing nose. It's really bright with a lovely purity. The fruit is sweet, black cherry, raspberry and plum. Has lovely integrated oak and spice. It's fresher and feels a touch lighter than the 2004 (14% rather than 14.5%), and is a cracking drink. Lovely soft tannins. Great value for Central Otago. Drink now and over next 2-3 years.
