Domaine Gayda L'Archet Vin de Pays d'Oc
France Provence & Regional
Vin de Pays d'Oc 75cl
This is a cracking summer red from Domaine Gayda. Usually Grenache from the Languedoc is used to make a fairly rich spicy red not unlike Cotes du Rhone. Here they have made a lighter style using carbonic maceration, and it's a lovely refreshing change. At it's best slightly chilled. Bright raspberry, plum and white pepper on the nose. It's juicy on the palate, really quite light with spicy, peppery notes and red fruits. Tannins are soft and it's really attractive. Not hugely complex but a really good bright Summer red that would work well with fish and barbecued food.
