Mac Forbes is a young winemaker making some really elegant wines from various vineyards in the Yarra Valley. This is a really crisp cool climate Chardonnay. Fresh nose with citrus, a touch of honey and oak. It's a really pure crisp, fresh wine with lovely bright citrus, some honey and just a touch of stone fruit. Oak is well integrated giving it a nice nutty character. Long, tight and quite minerally. I would like to see this flesh out. it's young and i am sure will continue to develop over the next 5 years.
