This fabulous Rosé was a trophy winner in the 2006 Air New Zealand Wine Awards that were announced in November. It's got a really deep vibrant deep pink colour. Lovely ripe fruit on the nose-bright cherry, plum and raspberry. It's deep in flavour too having lots of bright chery and raspberry fruit with a touch of plum. It's crunchy, full-flavoured deep and dry. Although would make an excellent barbecue wine it is also a very versatile wine to go with meaty fish, spicy starters and anythin that requires the flavour of red but the body of a white. Really delicious.
