Troy Kalleske has been getting some great press since he launched his own label. The grapes used come from cuttings off vines planted in the 1800's. Aged 18 months in French and American oak. 15% alcohol. It's deep in colour with lovely rich black cherry and damson fruit, meaty with mocha, chocolate and spice too. It's palate coating and voluptuous. If you like big generous Barossa Shiraz then you will love this. Has a delicious creamy texture and great sweet fruit. It needs time to develop some complexity and it will be interesting to see how this develops. Pretty impressive now!
