A delicious, full-on oak aged Barbera. Aged 20 months in French oak. Gamey and meaty on the nose, with high toned berry fruit and oak. It's a great food wine with ripe black cherry and redcurrant fruit. Retaining classic Barbera acidity with a dense concentrated palate Berry and currant fruit with a real meaty charcater and some spicy French oak. It's big yet really appealing, not a quaffing style but fabulous with food. A big powerful Barbera just hitting it's strides though no hurry. Gold medal winning in the 2007 International Wine Challenge.
