We are absolutely thrilled to be able to welcome Ian Hongell, chief winemaker at Peter Lehmann Wines, on Wednesday 9th September for what will undoubtedly be a standout tasting. Established in the early 1980's, Peter Lehmann Wines is involved with over 140 growers each vintage, 'his mates' so to speak, and over the past few decades has collected pretty much all the awards/trophies worth winning. The range is all-encompassing, from day-to-day wines such as 'Layers' to the top-of-the-tree 'Stonewell'.
Peter Lehmann, a member of the Order of Australia and the original Baron of the Barossa, and a legend of Australian wine. He helped shape the industry over seven decades. His contribution to the industry as a whole was acknowledged in 2009 with an International Wine Challenge Lifetime Achievement Award.
The tasting is guaranteed to be oversubscribed so please do book early to avoid disappointment. Payment on booking is required and is only refundable if cancelled 7 days prior to the event and/or we can fill the places.
As is usual, we shall have some fantastic cheese (bread of similar quality is debatable) to round off the evening.
