Welcome to our first Newsletter & Fine Wine List of 2008 – we have many offers inside to tempt you, most notably Burgundy & Rhone 2006 En Primeur offers. Two excellent vintages, especially in the Rhone with some cracking Grenache based wines from the south, and pure, ripe, and quite delicious Syrah’s from the north.

Burgundy 2006 is clearly not another 2005, although many of the whites rival the 2005’s and are quite superb. The 2006 reds are a little more patchy yet there also some thrilling examples in what could turn out to be an underrated vintage.

We have some fabulous, limited production, and highly sought-after Argentinean Malbec’s; this country is making some outstanding wines at present and is clearly progressing.

The usual Mixed Cases are on offer including a very special Wines of Chile award winning mixed 6-pack. This case showcases 6 of the 12 wines to win a gold medal at the fifth annual Wines of Chile awards – they are stunning wines.

Also look out for our Bin End/Sale list that features some amazing bargains – we simply have too much stock!

Australia was very hot and dry for my annual blending visit, but I’m delighted that we have made some very good 2006’s. As I write, we are having our first Shiraz grapes from 2008 arrive in the cellar – it looks to be a small yet very promising vintage.

I hope 2008 is a successful year for you all, and we look forward to being of service in the coming weeks.

Buying Online

Is there a minimum order?

No, but delivery charges may apply, so we recommend that you order at least one full case. Orders from the Wine List must be of minimum value £150.00 to qualify for free delivery. 'Per case' delivery charges apply to Mixed Cases, New Releases and Special Offers.

Why aren't all wines for sale online?

We offer selected wines from our list for sale online, so that we can be sure of availability for quick delivery. Wines without a 'buy now' link can be purchased by contacting us.
