We have been extremely fortunate in securing a good allocation of what is perhaps the best vintage of Solengo that Argiano have ever produced, the sensational 2015. James Suckling said of it, awarding 97 points, as one of his top 100 wines of 2017:
“Fantastic aromas of flowers such as violets and roses with dark purple fruits and hints of stones, too. Full body with ultra-fine tannins and a long and linear finish. This is a return to the great Solengos of the mid-1990s. The best since 1997. Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Petit Verdot 30%, Merlot 15% and Sangiovese 5%. Drinkable now but better in 2020.”

"Plenty of ripe fruit with a wealth of plum and dark berry character. Rich and powerful. Full to medium body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. I love the edgy tannins at the end that give it form. Beautiful now. " 94 points James Suckling
We are also delighted to offer their stunning Brunello di Montalcino 2012 Riserva, a worthy successor to their last Riserva, the 2010. This received a pre-fermentation cold maceration, then fermentation and maceration on the skins for more than 3 weeks. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation were both in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. It was aged for at least twenty-four months in Slavonian oak casks, and then for two more years in bottle. Only 4000 bottles were made, for all 50 of their export markets.

"Fantastic aromas of orange peel and dark berry with plenty of plum and cherry. Sweet tobacco and mushrooms. Full body, juicy and fruity with firm tannins and a fresh finish. Complex and gorgeous. Fine and very long. Drink now." 96 points James Suckling
And thirdly, since all good things come in threes (like London buses), we are making an En Primeur offer on the new vintage Brunello di Montalcino 2013. James Suckling gave this 96 points. The wine was vinified like the Riserva 2012, but aged in French oak casks (10 and 50hl) for twenty-four months, and then several more months in bottle before release in January 2018.
