Mitolo 'Jester Madame D'Or' Vermentino 2010
Australia
The first white Jester and named Madame D'Or. It's a lovely Vermentino, really young and fresh ftom the 2010 vintage. Picked early and only 10% alcohol! Aromatic fresh nose with lime citrus and hints of white peach. Crisp, lively and tangy. Again really limey and zesty with hints of white peach on the palate, it's incredibly easy to drink at this low alcohol level, i tried it blind and when asked i thought 11.5%, it is light but it's clean, fresh and zippy and makes a great aperitif white both in style and it's low alcohol, super refreshing!

Chateau La Tour de By Rose 2009
France
From a Chateau whose red we have been selling for several years and one that is always a consistent performer. This fresh Rosé was lovely, quite delicate and dry with subtle red fruit characters and perfume. The palate was quite savoury and complex but with a hint of berry sweetness at the finish that plumped it out. It's a very good rosé for food, having that extra body. It's an incredibly vivid colour!

Bodegas Borsao 'Monte Arcos' Garnacha-Shiraz 2009
Spain
Really smart new packaging for this 2009 release, it's been a great value wine but the old packaging held it back. I am guessing same blend of 90% Garnacha and 10% Shiraz. Bright cherry and plum on the nose with typical white pepper. It's not complicated but just a really youthful vibrant red of real appeal, juicy cherry and plum fruit, crunchy tannins, white pepper and spice. Serve cool and drink with pizza, pasta and barbecued food. A great value.

The 2007 of this was a superb value and hugely popular, it sold out very quickly. Thankfully the 2008 is out already and it's a cracking follow up. Dense bramble fruits on the nose. It's a full juicy style with black cherry and plum fruits. The tannins are very soft making this very enjoyable already. It's soft and and very appealing, very quaffable!

Bodegas Juan Gil 'Silver Label' Jumilla Monastrell 2007
Spain
After harvesting, the deep purple grapes are whole-cluster macerated “sur lie” for 25 days, and then pressed and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Densely coloured wine with a high impact impressive nose. The wine seems to be a bit of a monster from the intense black fruit aromas and complex smoky tobacco flavours laced with a chocolate and coffee sweetness. On the palate there is good structure and plenty of acidity to make this more elegant than the nose suggests. A big wine with good balance, concentration and length. Serve with hearty meat dishes and mixed grills!

Kurt Angerer St.Laurent 2008
Austria
Kurt Angerer's reds have improved dramatically, and are know seriously good, especially for a region known primarily for it's white wines. The last couple of St.Laurent's have been extremely good, the new 2008 is another delicious example. Attractive cherry and plum fruit on the nose with some vanillan oak. Medium bodied and juicy with lovely spice and red fruits, hints of blackberry too. It's got lovely sweetness to it, some dried herb and soft tannins, most attractive, not unlike a new world Pinot Noir. Drink now and over the next 3 years.
