March Mixed Cases 2008
A brand new selection, as ever, featuring some of the very best wines we have tasted over the last 3 months. Some are new vintages of old favourites, whilst others are brand new wines to us. No bin-ends or overstocked wines in these cases, and many of the individual wines can be bought at special case prices too.

5th Annual Wines of Chile Awards January 2008 Mixed 6 Pack
Always looking for new ideas for mixed cases, the results of this competition caught my eye. Chile is now making some seriously good and diverse wines, and this case illustrates this perfectly. Around 500 of Chile's top wines are entered, the judges being comprised of MW's and UK journalists. Just 12 wines (2.7% of those entered) won gold medals, and of those 8 also won trophies. I tried to get samples of all 12 to ideally (as long as I liked them) make a mixed 12 yet somewhat surprisingly on 6 of them are in the UK (or just arriving) - it was fortunate that these 6 are seriously good. If you only think of Chile as making good value sub £6 wines, then try this case - it's an eye-opener!
