2. Is there a minimum order size?
Definitely not! Who are we to tell the customer what to do! You are free to buy as much or as little as you like. (But do bear in mind that delivery charges may apply - see the following point).
3. Delivery information and charges
Please note that the following delivery charges apply for standard retail orders (multiple corporate orders will incur a delivery charge - please email us for details):
UK deliveries (not including the Highlands & Islands – please check with us if unsure) are undertaken by APC/Quicksilver or Fastway Couriers: £9 for 1 case of 9 litres (per address) and £5.00 per subsequent case. Deliveries to areas north of Aberdeen incur a surcharge of £15 per consignment. Please contact us for further details or for delivery charges to other areas of the UK.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE CHARGES APPLY TO ORDERS FOR PRE-RELEASE OFFERS, MIXED CASES - BASICALLY ANY WINE THAT IS ON OFFER/REDUCED. WINE ORDERED FROM THE 'WINE LIST' OF AT LEAST £150.00 IN VALUE WILL BE DELIVERED FREE AS LONG AS IT IS WITHIN MAINLAND UK AND MONDAY-FRIDAY WORKING HOURS. Due to high increases in delivery charges we have had to increase this threshold. Negotiable for larger orders. European destinations by TNT; worldwide depends on destination: we cannot ship directly to the United States - US residents need to establish contact with an importer within their country that imports from the UK.
Wines to be delivered underbond to a bonded warehouse other than London City Bond (or Vinotheque) will incur a standard delivery charge of £21 which is London City Bond’s default charge.

4. Delivery times
Deliveries are sent on a next day service via courier. This does not mean we will always be able to deliver the next day. We aim to get deliveries out as soon as possible, but obviously wines can go out of stock from time to time. Should the delay be more than a few days we will contact you to advise a delivery estimate. If you need the wine for a particular date, or before a particular date please make sure you mention this in the comments section when placing your order. Actual time of delivery is based upon 9am-5.30pm unless premium services are paid for; likewise Saturday delivery is only available for an extra £15.

5. What about if no one is home to meet the courier?
If no one is home, the courier will leave a card to say she/he has been. Alternatively, you may authorize the courier to leave the order in a certain place. There is a textbox in the shopping checkout where delivery instructions can be left should no one be home to meet the courier. Let us know if you want the courier to leave your order in a certain spot (e.g. at back door or in shed etc). IMPORTANT NOTE: if a request is made for wine to be left unattended, Noel Young Wines cannot be held responsible if the wine goes missing after the courier has delivered it.

6. What are the ordering and payment options?
Given Noel Young Wines provides a fully secure link for credit card payments we recommend that customers order this way. PLEASE NOTE THAT GIVEN THE VERY NATURE OF WINES BEING A FINITE PRODUCT, YOUR CREDIT CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL ALL THE GOODS ORDERED HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AND ALLOCATED, EXCEPT WHEN ORDERING FROM THE PRE-RELEASE SECTIONS OF THE SITE WHERE STOCKS ARE ALREADY KNOWN. However, if you prefer, cheque, bank transfer & credit cards can be used via the following options: (a) FAX your order (print out the order form in the check-out section if you like) to (00) 44 1223 844736 - (or phone 00 44 1223 566744) - please advise your preferred method of payment on the fax. We will confirm the order and if necessary collect your payment details via email, fax or phone (if using credit card). (b) Email your order to admin@nywines.co.uk advising your preferred method of payment. We can contact you by phone or email to get your payment details. (c) Bank Transfer the value of your order to our bank account. If this is your preferred method just drop us an email and we will send you account details back to you ASAP. (d) If none of the above is suitable you can order the old fashioned way by printing out the order form in the check-out section with all the relevant details and mail (with payment) to:
Noel Young Wines 56 High Street Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9LS. *Please note
that Noel Young Wines only accepts Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro(Switch), American Express, cheques, or payment by bank transfer. Apologies but we have to apply a 1.5% surcharge if you choose to pay by American Express.

7. Our contract
When you place an order with us you will be sent an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and setting out the details. Your order represents an offer to purchase from us, which is accepted by us when we contact you (usually by email but sometimes by telephone) with confirmation stating that we have dispatched the goods to you. Any goods on the same order which have not been confirmed as having been dispatched do not form part of that contract.

8. What is the Noel Young Wines policy on breakages from deliveries?
Although the courier should advise us if there are any breakages, it's still very important that you let us know ASAP of any stock damage once received so we can investigate with the delivery operator and source replacement wine for you. PLEASE BE CERTAIN TO CHECK THE NUMBER OF PARCELS YOU ARE SIGNING FOR - WE CANNOT REPLACE WINES THAT HAVE BEEN SIGNED FOR BUT NOT ACTUALLY RECEIVED. As you can appreciate to prevent fraudulent damage claims we need to be made aware of damage ASAP thus we prefer to be notified via e-mail or phone within 24 hrs.

9. Is Noel Young Wines able to source wine not offered on the site?
Yes! We always stress to site visitors that we can assist in tracking down that hard to get wine. Just drop us an email and we'll let you know what we can do, as we have access to many distributors and key contacts in the industry.

10. Can I order from overseas?

We will not refund a purchase because you didn't like the wine - however if there is bottle damage or your wine is corked -please contact us immediately by email to admin@nywines.co.uk and we will organise a refund. We may request the return of the damaged product before a refund is given so that we can make an assessment as well.

14. Can I send wine as a gift to someone else?
Yes! When filling out the wine order form you have the option to include a different delivery address - simply fill this in. We will email you to confirm that the wine has been sent to the third party. If you would like us to include a card, simply email us the message to be included admin@nywines.co.uk
When ordering wines as a gift, please be sure to give us all the details such as recipient's name, contact phone number, and any message you would like to include. We need a contact number to ensure that someone can receive the gift, or will authorise the gift to be left securely - without a contact number, we may have to charge you for re-delivery if the couriers are unable to deliver after 2 attempts - this charge would be £16.
